Nordic Valley summer concerts, water slide return Saturday

EDEN — Nordic Valley’s 400-foot inflatable water slide is returning for second season as the resort opens for the summer Saturday. 

In addition to the water slide and two new bungee trampolines, summer guests can take the Apollo lift service to the top of the resort for downhill mountain biking, hiking and use of the 18-hole disc golf course, according to a press release the resort. 

Lift tickets are $12.50 per guest, per day. Guests can also purchase an all-day pass that includes water slide access for $20, according to a release from the resort. The resort is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. 

The resort’s summer also includes its free Nordic Nights Concert Series from 6-9 p.m. each Saturday. 

The following local artists will be performing in the concert series:

June 17John Burrows: Rock music cover artist from Eden who also performs original compositions. 

June 24 — Scotty Haze Band: Ogden-based rock music 

July 1Imagine! A Beatles tribute band

July 8Great Dames: An all-women variety cover band

July 15Spot and Waldo: Classics from the 1960s and 1970s, and contemporary music.

July 22Wildflower Moon: Electric/acoustic power trio playing rock and roll originals.

July 29Troubadour 77 (Anna Wilson & Monty Powell): Rock n’ roll music

Aug 12 — Shades of Grey

Aug 19The Proper Way: Traditional bluegrass music with instruments played in non-traditional ways.
