HARRISVILLE — Police responded to reports of a bull on the loose Friday morning in Harrisville.

Lt. Keith Wheelwright of the Harrisville Police Department said that officers were called around 8:19 a.m. to guide the bull back to a field from which it escaped.

Police blocked one lane of traffic near 1200 North Washington Blvd. in order to keep the bovine from leaving the sidewalk.

Within roughly 20 minutes, the bull was safely returned to the pasture without any property damage or injuries to officers or the animal, Wheelwright said.

Police officers from Harrisville, North Ogden and Pleasant View responded to the incident.
